Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Yes, our specialty practice is a provider with Kaiser.  For all other insurance plans, we provide Superbills to submit to  insurance for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement. We are fully transparent about your cost. We provide a complimentary insurance benefits & eligibility report so you know your expenses. Contact us for more information regarding your out-of-network provider benefits.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and FSA/HSA debit cards.

Is an assessment required before treatment begins?

An assessment is required if one was not completed in the past 6 months. At the Clinician's discretion, it will be determined if more information is needed or if treatment may begin. For Kaiser members, Kaiser completes the assessment prior to this Clinician providing treatment services.

How long are treatment sessions?

Treatment sessions are typically 30 and 45 minutes in length and can be customized to fit the client's and family’s needs.  AAC training sessions for family and staff are typically 60-90 minutes and can be customized to fit the client and family needs.

Do you provide services in the home?

Primarily, we offer services in our Pleasant Hill, CA office at this time.  In-home services are provided on a case-by-case basis and based on availability. For those in wheelchairs, we have accessible facilities. We also offer services via teletherapy for families outside of our coverage area who are seeking specialty care.

Do you have weekend appointments?

Not at this time. 

Do you offer parent education classes?

Yes, we offer parent education classes on a variety of topics.
